Dearest family and friends,

First, on behalf of our entire family, we want to thank you for the outpouring of love and support you have sent us during this very difficult time in our lives. We feel your love and your prayers, and it brings us great comfort. We wanted to create this page to provide updates.

On Thursday, July 11th, my parents were driving to their mountain house in Little Switzerland. At around 10am, they were in car accident with a semi off of Highway 95 near Brunswick, Georgia. The airbags deployed, and my mother broke her right leg and foot in the accident. My father had no major visible injuries at that time, except for a large cut on his nose from hitting the airbags. My dad accompanied my mother in an ambulance to the nearest trauma 1 facility to their location. My mother received surgery the following morning and received a rod and screws in her leg to repair the fracture of her femur. She is recovering well.

Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, our father developed a massive brain bleed in the hospital while caring for my mom. Our father had emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding. He is currently in ICU, and we have a long road ahead of us with lots of unknowns.

My mother and father are on the same floor of the hospital, so we are able to switch off to be with them throughout the day. We are immensely grateful to our friends, neighbors, and family who have reached out to help us with our children and pets so that we can be here with our parents around the clock. Some of you have expressed an interest in sending cards/flowers. Because we are not sure where we will be from day-to-day during this critical period, we will be posting that information hopefully in few days.

We appreciate so much your prayers for my parents, and your love for us as a family.
As soon as we have updates, we will share them here.

With love,
Paige, Blythe, Anne, and Leigh
