Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated on Mila's (MEE-luh) milestones- big and small.
Our story has been a quick and overwhelming one, but one in which we now have a precious little girl to cheer on to a healthier state.
I was admitted to the hospital at Central Washington in Wenatchee on Monday with an infection (location unknown at the time). While being tested for everything under the sun, I too began to labor and was quickly airlifted to Swedish-First Hill in Seattle on Monday night. It was at Swedish that they figured out my infection was in fact in the amniotic fluid and they would need to get our baby (gender unknown at the time) out very shortly.
Mila entered this world with a fabulous and knowledgeable team awaiting her arrival and they have been caring for her and loving on her since her Tuesday birthday. We are so thankful for all our friends and family support, but especially thankful for this fantastic hospital(s) we were taken care of in, and the genuine care Swedish NICU is giving to our little girl. We hold on to a lot of hope for the long road ahead.
Due to the fact that we have had an overwhelming group of generous family and friends asking to help support our family, both of the following have been created by a very loving friend.
