In May 2016, Jake had a heart attack and went by ambulance to Mercy Hospital.  They did an angiogram and determined that he needed bypass surgery.  He had quadruple bypass surgery on May 23.  After his angiogram, his kidneys failed as a result of his diabetes, so he is now on dialysis 3 times a week.  Since surgery,  he has been in a couple rehab centers and is now at the VA in St. Cloud. On November 16, he had a pacemaker put in as his heart was beating too slow.  On January 7, he had his gall bladder removed as it was infected.  While in surgery, the doctor noticed that his liver wasn't normal.  After numerous tests, on January 18, he was diagnosed with liver cancer and cirrhosis of the liver caused by his diabetes.  After lots of thought and prayers it was decided by Jake and the family to go into hospice.  He is still at the VA in St. Cloud.  Please keep him in your prayers.
