On Saturday April 1st our lives changed forever. Neal had spent the night with friends in Madison WI.  He had an unfortunate accident where he had fallen down the stairs and hit his head. He was rushed by ambulance to the UW hospital. At 7:30 am Neal was rushed into emergency surgery due to a brain bleed on the right side of his brain.  After a couple of hours of not being responsive after surgery they sent him in for another CT scan.  The second CT scan concluded that he had another brain bleed on the left side of his brain. They rushed him off to emergency surgery for the second time. Neal spent 10 days in the ICU and 10 days in general care. Neal spent 23 days at Sacred Heart Rehab in Milwaukee and was able to return home on 5/13/2017. He continues to attend a Brain Injury out patient program 3 times per week.
