On Tuesday May 29 Nathan woke early and tried to get up . He was unable to stand and kept falling and running into things. His speech was slurred,the left side of his face was droopy and he was unable to use his left arm. We called 911 and paramedics confirmed a stroke was most likely in progress. They transported him to St James Medical Center in Pontiac. His blood pressure at this time was 200/105.Upon arrival they immediately did a CT scan of the head which told us he had a brain bleed. They contacted a neurosurgeon who had him transferred to St Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. There they had a couple teams of doctors to take over his care.Welcome to our CaringBridge website.
