I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia (ALL) on the 4th of January 2017 at the age of 5. I had been feeling unwell for a few months but the Dr's at the ER (emergency room) said I had nothing and send me back home. After a month I went back to my doctor he checked my anemia, saw I had 4.2 and was rushed to the hospital. Within days it was confirmed I had ALL and went straight into treatment at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. I underwent aggressive chemotherapy. During the first six months of treatment, Nathalie was instructed to remain at home to avoid infections and illnesses. I had an easier time than many children. I needed fewer blood transfusions than doctors predicted, and the chemotherapy didn’t cause much nausea. I was in the hospital only once in the first two months, when i got a fever, do that my blod counts were lower. When I don't feel good I hug my mom and I feel better.
