After returning from a run, Nate went to our mom's house in Weyerhaeuser. After resting for a few minutes, mom noticed that Nate was acting strangely and not responding to her. 911 was called and mom and JoAnne began doing CPR until the paramedics arrived. Nate was then airlifted from Weyerhaeuser to Mayo in Eau Claire. At Mayo, they confirmed that Nate did have a massive heart attack.
Currently, Nate is in critical condition. They were able to fix the blockages in his heart and now must wait to see how his body heals. He is heavily sedated and medically paralyzed to let his heart rest. We were told that he has the Cadillac heart team working on him and know that he is in very good hands.
We are all in complete shock and cannot believe this has happened to our healthy, 41-year-old brother. Nate needs all of your thoughts and prayers right now. We all know that Nate is a fighter and is heading into the biggest fight of his life. Please say an extra prayer for our little brother. We all need him here with us. ❤
