Welcome to Nate's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Click on the Journal for daily/weekly updates on Nate's progress.  Click on the Gallery tab for pictures. Click on the Ways to Help tab to sign up to bring a meal.  Click on the Well Wishes tab to send Nate a message.  The best way you can help is to pray for Nate and Melissa for acceptance, healing, strength, courage, and peace.

On October 7th, Nate was delivered the devastating news that he has Stage IV metastatic pancreatic cancer.  During the  visit with the oncologist Nate and Melissa learned about various clinical trials available at HonorHealth Research Institute and other treatment options to fight this aggressive, horrible cancer.  They met many clinicians that make up the pancreatic cancer treatment - The Dream Team of pancreatic cancer research and clinical trials.  Nate started aggressive chemo treatment on 10/17/19.

Nate is in  great spirits but is in pain and working in-between treatments.  Melissa is Nate's primary caregiver and has a lot on her plate including working full-time.  A lot of people have asked how they can help.  If you would like to help, click on the "Ways to Help" tab.  Currently, we have added tasks of bringing Nate and Melissa dinners on Mondays and Wednesdays.  This will really help Melissa and Nate.  If you would like to bring a dinner, click on the date that you can bring dinner and follow the instructions.  The dietary restrictions are listed.  We can work out when it is convenient for you to drop off dinner.  (Either day of or night before)

If you want to provide a dinner but live out of town or don't have the time, you can donate money for a dinner or give a gift card to a healthy restaurant and we will have volunteers bring a dinner from you to Nate and Melissa.  Please contact Kathy Denton at kmdenton33@gmail.com or call/text at (770) 310-6546.

Later in Nate's journey, we may have additional task help like transportation for Nate or other miscellaneous ways to help.

Nate and Melissa are so overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support they are receiving from their friends and family.  They have a strong faith and believe that God is in charge and will be with them every step of the way.
