Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place because we realized at about 24 hours in to this, so many people want to know what is going on and it's simply exhausting trying to update everyone. We appreciate your support and thank you for visiting.

The last 48 hours have been a whirlwind.  What we know is the following.  It is stage IIb pancreatic cancer.  The cancer is wrapped around an artery of the pancreas making surgery not possible at this time.  Chemo will start Tuesday and there will be four sessions two weeks apart.  If that shrinks the tumor they will try to operate.  If not, they will begin radiation.

Nancy is in good spirits.  Her biggest concern is people treating her "different".  She doesn't want puppy dog eyes or sympathy.  (in true Nan fashion)  When it all began and Lindsay and I wanted to attend the first appointment her response was, "I don't want a posse at my first appointment".  Hence, we are now Nan's Posse.

We will use this site to update those who wish to know what is going on.  For now we simply ask for prayers if you pray, good thoughts sent our way, and for anyone willing to send Nan good vibes for this fight.  We appreciate it more than you know, for as you can imagine, our world is upside down.

Much love,
Nan's Posse
