Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, prayers, and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On August 4, Nancy was diagnosed with stage 3 Diffuse Large B Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  After going to the ER for a stomach ache and fever, her blood work came back normal.  The doctor requested a CT scan where a mass in her abdomen was present.  In the two and a half weeks that followed her diagnosis she underwent multiple tests.  This included a MRI scan of her brain, a bone biopsy, lumbar puncture, lymph node biopsy, and thyroid biopsy.  Though these tests were difficult to go through, all came back clean, with the exception of the thyroid biopsy. Nancy has been diagnosed unrelated to her lymphoma, with thyroid cancer.  The doctors will address her thyroid cancer after she beats Lymphoma.

Nancy was given a port on August 21.  She underwent her first, round of an aggressive chemotherapy (RCHOP) on August 23.   She will undergo 6 rounds of chemotherapy every 3 weeks (21 days).  She was given a 55% chance of survival after five years.  We feel grateful that the odds are in our favor.

We are assured of God's presence in each moment of every day as Nancy spends her days as she holds on to Isaiah 41:10

"Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."

Thank you,
Jeff & Family
