Nancy Remde

A few weeks ago Nancy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Initially we were encouraged that it was early, small, in just one spot, and could be treated with lumpectomy and radiation.  But later tests revealed another tumor, non-invasive but more spread-out.  The solution for all of this is removal of both tumors by mastectomy. 


The surgery is scheduled for Thursday, July 13 at 3:30pm.  She will have the mastectomy, and if there has been no spread of the cancer to her lymph nodes, she will then immediately undergo reconstruction surgery.  If all goes well she should be able to go home on Friday.  Kevin will be able to stay with her the entire time she’s there.  (Andy has been kind enough to look after the house and our dog Cookie while we’re away.)


Please pray for:

    1. Nancy’s comfort, and a relief of the fear and apprehension we all feel,
    2. No spread of the cancer, so that the reconstruction can take place,
    3. A relief from pain and discomfort, and quick healing.
