Nancy Pernell

We found out on March 1st that the large tumor the doctor removed from Nancy's uterus was in fact cancer (Leiomyosarcoma). She has been referred to UCDavis Cancer Center in Sacramento and is awaiting a hysterectomy and oophorectomy and follow up treatment.  Surgery is scheduled for March 23, 3 days before her 75th birthday. While she waits at home for surgery, she continues to have “labor pains” and cramping. She learned from her doctor that in the two weeks since they removed the fibroid tumor, it has grown back and is the size of a baby’s head.
