On January 29th Nancy was admitted to St. Joseph's hospital in Warren,Ohio. She had developed pneumonia and had a large swollen area on the side of her neck. On Wednesday, January 31st a procedure was done to remove fluid from her lungs. She did not tolerate this procedure well. She was moved to ICCU on Thursday, February 1st. It was determined the area on her neck was a swollen salivary gland. This condition will resolve itself most likely as the infection is handled.
The medical staff let the family know a surgical procedure would be needed to help fight the infection. The procedure was completed on February 5th.  Nancy came through the procedure and was returned to ICCU. She is currently recovering from the surgery. Nancy remains on a breathing tube. She is awake and can communicate with family via gestures, facial expressions, and writing of messages. Her children and families greatly appreciate all the prayers and well wishes expressed during this time. Please continue to remember Nancy as she has a long road of recovery ahead. The family will try to update the site in the morning and evening. Please feel free to leave messages and well wishes for her and we will make sure to share them with her.
