Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Nancy. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

On Sunday, February 23, 2020, Nancy’s nephew, Rob received a call from Nancy that she needed help and that she had fallen. Her nephew, Peter, and Rob’s wife, Amy, met the fire department and medics at the house to get them in and off to the hospital she went!   This is where the journey begins.

Nancy was admitted to Genesis East on February 23, 2020. After an MRI confirmed she had a cerebellar stroke, she was airlifted to the University of Iowa on February 25, 2020. She was followed behind via ground transport by her brother, Bob, and nephews Rob, Peter, and Andy.  She has since been at the University of Iowa with an excellent support of an amazing team of doctors and staff.   This has been a long and difficult journey. Please see the details of Nancy’s journey on Andy’s journal note dated 3/22/2020.

We are hoping Nancy continues the fight she has inside to enjoy the things she loves in life:  helping others, friends, family, and enjoying nature.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Please feel free to post words of encouragement for Nancy to read! Thank you.
