Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
Nancy's story started on January 25th 2017 when she began having lower abdominal pain. She went to the hospital and thought she had a hernia. She was admitted to the hospital and underwent a series of tests, a biopsy and a surgery.

A week later she was diagnosed with uterine sarcoma. Sarcomas are a rare form of cancer and make up only 1% of all cancers. Because of the rare nature of this cancer her doctor decide to send her up to The James, at Ohio State University, for evaluation by a sarcoma specialist.

After this appointment and a few more tests Dr Chen recommended chemotherapy to treat her sarcoma.

For more information on sarcomas please visit The Sarcoma Alliance webpage.
