Hello Wonderful Friends and Family
Thur Nov 1 I am having my right knee replaced. This means that at least for the first half of Nov I will need a lot of help. I am counting on you wonderful people to come thru for me. I am suppose to have someone here 24 hours a day for the first week after I get home from the surgery. The expectation is that I will come home on Nov 3. I plan to hire a caregiver for the nights that week but if I can get unpaid help during the day that would be super. Russ’s care has already made a freight train size hole in our savings. The care is not a big deal, mostly fetch & carry, help me maintain sanity and remind me of exercise and med schedule, oh yes and feed and litter change Buster. I should be considerably more independent after the first week but will still need help getting meals and caring for Buster for a couple of more weeks after that. There are also rides to & from appointments. I have made a spread sheet of Nov through Nov 15. If anyone can help for a few hours during that time please tell me when would work for you and I will make a schedule. I want to get this all arranged before I go to the hospital as I expect to be sub-functional (mentally as well as physically) when I get back. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!NancyWelcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
