Hello family and friends! We are using this forum to keep you updated on Nanci’s battle to BEAT CANCER! Some of you are aware that Nanci has been struggling with lower gastrointestinal issues over the past few months. Just this week, Nanci’s doctor confirmed anal squamous cell carcinoma through a biopsy. Nanci’s next steps are to have an MRI and CT scans so the doctors can develop her individualized treatment plan (usually a combination of radiation and chemotherapy over a 5-6 week period). The good news is most of these patients treated with chemoradiotherapy have an excellent prognosis. We will keep you updated on Nanci’s status as she progresses through her treatments. Nanci, John, and Taylor want each of you to know how much they appreciate your support, prayers, and words of encouragement. They look forward to seeing each of you when this crazy pandemic subsides and life gets back to normal. [Note: I am a long-time friend of the LeRoy’s and will be posting periodic updates for them.
