Nanci Alcorn

For the last eighteen months, Nanci has been having abdominal pains, sometimes very intense. Though she wasn’t due for her next colonoscopy for another two years, she had one in January 2018, and it revealed a polyp that the doctor believed was malignant. Surgery and a biopsy in February confirmed that it is indeed colon cancer. (Though the cancer wasn't the cause of her pain, the tests did also reveal a hernia that doctors believe has been the source.) This site will share the latest updates on Nanci's cancer journey.
