Sherry Chumbley

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Sunday afternoon September 2nd  Sherry had a heart attack.  We are so thankful that this occurred while she was outside gardening.  Our neighbors were also outside and were able to preform CPR on Sherry until the paramedics arrived.  We already can see God's protection over Sherry through this event and have peace through the prayers that is being sent up by friends and family. God is in control and will carry her and the family through these challenging times.

Our family wanted to start a caring page for all love ones to stay informed with what update information and progress Sherry is showing for friends

Current update:

The last several days it has been a process of trying to wake Sherry's brain up so she will be able to breath on her own and begin the healing process.  As of yesterday they have stop the sedation process so she can begin to come back on her own. This could take several days or weeks to happen but we are encouraged by her progress since Sunday. This will be a marathon race and will take time.  We trust Gods plan.

Please join us in prayer for our current prayer requests:

1. Sherry would respond to our commands to squeeze our hands or move her toes without her blood pressure increasing.

2. Upon these tasks our prayer is that she would be removed from the ventilator.


3. Prayer for physical & spiritual strength and to Trust in HIM!   Only God knows what lies ahead.

4. Prayer support for our family needs for strength and understanding during these stressful times.
