Myra Gruber

Dear Family and Friends of Myra Gruber, 


We are using this site to keep you updated on Myra's status, and to provide a place for you to share your thoughts, feeling and memories of Myra in the Well Wishes section.  
 
As most of you know, Myra has been dealing with dementia over the past several years.  Earlier this year, she was in assisted living at MorningStar Senior Living in Lone Tree, Colorado.  Myra had wonderful independent caregivers who supported her, but eventually she needed a higher level of care.  
 
In July we moved Myra down the road to memory care at Lincoln Meadows senior living in Parker, Colorado.  Myra thrived as an active member of the memory care community at Lincoln Meadows and had great care in the facility there.
 
On November 8th, however, Myra tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to the hospital.  Myra was strong and did not let Covid beat her, but it did take a toll.  She spent a couple of weeks in the hospital, then moved to a rehab facility for a few weeks, and then back into the hospital for two more weeks.
 
On December 22nd, Myra moved to hospice in a home in Castle Rock, Colorado, not far from Anne.  Anne has done a wonderful job of finding a comfortable, peaceful and homey space for Myra where her family can still visit in the midst of the pandemic. Being able to spend time with Myra has been the greatest blessing.
