2018- I have had my ups and downs and then went to the pain management doctor where he pushed so hard on my abdomen that I could not move!!!  A few days later it was time to leave for our family vacation to California and Alex and the girls got on the plane and I went in the hospital.  One thing I have always wanted was for my girls lives not to be changed because of my illness.  I had been planning surprises for them and everything that would only occur on those specific dates, so I wanted them to go!  
Not long after this, I began my search for a way to get help.  I found the TP-IAT (Total Pancreatectomy and Islet Auto Transplantation.)  And then my crazy journey began.
