Welcome to our story! Marcus was born with biliary atresia. His first liver transplant (Dad - Tony - was his living related donor) was on 10-29-09. Marcus has had continued bile duct issues requiring many reconstructive surgeries to try to save that liver. In August 2020 Marcus's doctors have requested a second liver transplant. Marcus's second liver transplant was 11-17-2020. Mom - Becky - was his living related donor.
Marcus is a 14. He has the most amazing sense of humor and the best smile. He loves Captain America, Pikachu and green M&Ms. He enjoys being outside and playing with his older brother (Dominic) and older sisters (Elaina and Angelina). Seriously, this kids' "best day ever" is hanging out at home with his family watching a movie, eating pasta and playing Monopoly. He is also the oldest soul I have ever met. He carries his medical journey like a champion - rarely complaining about taking medicines, normal procedures or doing blood work.
