John Ware

Hi family and friends .  Johns huge kind heart and too wide of shoulders have led to some issues in his life that he has been struggling to manage.  In his effort to reach the  goals he was working towards, he miscalculated how sick he really was.

John was taken to the hospital 9 days ago on July 16th.  He was admitted to the ICU that evening, he was very very sick.  Once he arrived in the ICU he had a seizure and wasn’t able to breathe on his own so he was intubated and put on life support.

He started to improve everyday  but remained on the ventilator, until at 5:15 am on July 24th in true John Ware form, he decided he didn't need the ventilator  anymore and removed it himself.  The only blessing is that we actually got to talk and he knew I was there for him.  He was alert and present for almost a whole day, he even had some applesauce and water before I left to go home that night.  Unfortunately by this morning it was clear he couldn’t handle it anymore without help so the decision was made to re intubate him to give him a chance to recover.

That is where we are at right now.  I will try to update every day until he is out of the woods and home safe.

Please keep John in your thoughts and prayers.
