Monica Hackelton

Hello family and friends! Monica wanted to effectively communicate with everyone about her current medical health. Please check this website for updates, as information will be released as the family seems necessary and when they feel ‘ready.’ Please refrain from posting and information on any social media outlets. On April 30, 2021, Monica went to the emergency room with extreme leg pain making it difficult for her to walk. After having a CT scan, blood clots in both legs and both lungs and a mass in her stomach were found.  Another CT scan was ordered to determine the size and direct location of the mass, the results showed a 6mm mass between her stomach and pancreas.  A biopsy was ordered for May 4, 2021.  Monica wanted to wait until after her son graduated to learn the results of her biopsy.  On May 11, 2021, Monica and Jimmy followed up with her doctor.  The dreaded words "you have pancreatic cancer" were said.  Monica will begin her journey at MD Anderson on May 17, 2021.  #monicasmovingmountainsagainstpancreacticcancer #pancsm

Specific Requests:
-Pray that the cancer is contained only to the pancreas and has not spread to anywhere else in her body.
-Pray for Monica to be at peace while at MD Anderson since Jimmy will not be allowed to enter the center with her.
-Pray for both Jimmy and Monica as they are leaving their sons as home to be cared for by family.
