On September 1st, Molly got out of bed at the impatient prompting of our two year old to be picked up out of her crib. As Molly walked into her room, she fell to the floor with a seizure. Molly's parents were spending the night, heard the crash, and were on the scene seconds after it happened. Medics came quickly, and rushed her to the hospital, where we discovered she had had a stroke. They operated and were able to surgically remove two large clots and hit a smaller third clot with drugs to break it up.
We are so blessed that things have turned out as well as they have. Molly is young, strong, and stubborn, and I have no doubt she will make a full recovery. As of Monday morning she is unable to speak, but has started indicating yes/no through blinking. She has a lot of mobility with her right leg, and is showing improvement with her right arm all the time. We have had tremendous help from friends and family, and are so grateful to have so many people offering to help.
