Mollie was just diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome on 4/7/17 at OSU medical center. Her symptoms started on that Wednesday when she was experiencing numbness in her extremities. Thursday at 1 am she was taken to genesis er, where she was released. By Friday her symptoms had progressed and she was unable to walk. After several hours in the er at OSU she was admitted to the brain and spin unit. Unfortunately part of the syndrome she has affects the respiratory system so she has been moved to the ICU to be closely monitored. She's completely paralyzed so communicating with the ventilator in has been difficult.
