Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. It has been a long five months since his appendix burst on the football field at spring practice.  If you don’t know the story, what we thought would be a typical appendix removal in July turned into a shocking diagnosis of a rare cancer: malignant mucineous neoplasm. Today, September 23 is the day we face a grueling eight hour surgery and chemotherapy.  Through it all, our faith has only grown stronger, as we rely more on Him and less on ourselves. Showing gratitude for all of God’s blessings has been my go-to as I attempted to hold on to all of God’s blessings and love and not lose focus. My mantra is “eyes on Jesus” which I say whenever I feel myself or see Mitch dropping into a valley. We pray that you will thank God for your many blessings and love your family even more than ever! When he emerges from surgery today, I will post the results.  We count ourselves so blessed to have the prayers, love, and support of so many friends and family.  Thank y’all!!!!
Yvonne
