Mitchell is a Senior at Hamilton Heights High School this year. On Tuesday Sept.6th Mitchell collapsed while running at cross country practice after school. His heart stopped. Amazingly, his collapse was witnessed and CPR was performed. Arcadia EMS responded quickly, continued CPR and used an AED to restart Mitchell's heart. Mitchell was taken to Riverview Hospital where a helicopter was waiting to fly him to Riley Hospital downtown Indianapolis. Mitchell is not responsive but his vital signs are good. The doctors are keeping Mitchell sedated to allow his brain and heart to heal.
