Missy Shankle

Missy found out September 2016 that she has Ovarian Cancer (stage 3 C) that has spread to a few other places in her body.  She had a hysterectomy on 9/20/16 and some stomach resectioning as well......she is on the mend but is still very fragile. She was supposed to start chemo Oct 5th but was not able to get it  because of bacteria in her blood. She was administered antibiotics through IV and blood transfusions so that they could get it under control.  Tonya went with Missy to her first round of chemo Oct 10th and she did really well. Oct 31 Missy received the next IV Chemo Treatment, Nov 1st started the IP Chemo that is super aggressive, then chemo again on Nov 7th.  We are all so proud of her for being so strong! 💪🏻💗Thank you all for your prayers and support! Please keep those prayers coming! Missy is just overwhelmed by how sweet and thoughtful everybody has been.  

There is a link to Meal Train website where people can sign up to make/send meals, gift cards, donate money, or help pay forward a few of her electricity and water bills to lessen some of the stress of regular daily life. I found a website that she seemed to love SpoonfulofComfort.com to send homemade soup, bread, cookies and tea (enter "Warm" for $10 off). This is great for those of us who are not close to her to make meals for Missy, Rickey & sweet little Cole. 

We are so thankful that Missy has such a loving family and really great friends! She deserves them!
