My daughter-in-law, Mindie Palmer, went to ER around the middle of January 2017, thinking she was having a gall bladder attack. A cat scan of her abdomen showed a number of cancerous lesions. She was immediately referred to an Oncologist. After two emergent hospital admissions, a number of procedures, tests and MD appointments she was diagnosed with Stage 4 invasive squamous cell endocervical and endometrial carcinoma. Metastasis to the bone and liver.
Mindie has since received 9 radiation treatments and is starting her cycle 1, day 3 of chemo 3/22/17. Mindie has the love, prayers and support of family and friends around her at all times and knows that she will beat this!!!!!
4/11/17 Mindie starts her cycle 2, day 2 of her chemo tomorrow. (each cycle last 3 weeks) Mindie needed 2 units of blood last week and had a rough time over the weekend. We are all encouraging her to eat and drink when she is feeling good to compensate for the days she is feeling bad. Her radiation treatments have helped her walking ability. On good days she can walk into the kitchen without her walker. She still uses a wheelchair for distance.
