Our son Miles turned 2 years old and was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) . It has spread throughout his entire body so he is now fighting for his life. He has had a bone marrow biopsy and a platelet transfusion. They put in a Hickman port and has started daily chemo into his port which is going to make him very ill and he will likely be unable to eat and possibly need a feeding tube. He will be in the hospital for 6-9 months in a private room where the air is filtered to hopefully prevent him from catching any illnesses as the chemo destroys his immune system, leaving him unable to fight off any illnesses. In addition to all of those things, he will be needing many more tests, blood transfusions, spinal taps, procedures, etc.  We will be out of work for some time to care for him and are very blessed to have such understanding employers (Tom Kadlec Honda, Rochester and Foldcraft, Kenyon). We will be updating this site with any new information.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
