Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated, in one place, about Mike Waite's heart surgery on October 14th and his subsequent recovery which we pray will be speedy and complete. If you've landed on this site, you know Mike and what a big-hearted guy he is. As the Executive Director of the Charlotte chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) he leads with enthusiasm and is always ready with an encouraging word, a positive can-do attitude and a passion for helping each and every member of our chapter succeed both personally and professionally. You may also know Mike from his involvement with the Business Leaders of Charlotte (BLOC). He is a past president of that organization and continues to support their fundraising efforts like Bloc-N-Bowl which helps local families in the Charlotte area who are struggling to make ends meet. Or, you may know Mike from the neighborhood, his involvement in his kids' schools or countless other ways.
While Mike would have been happy to tip-toe into the hospital with very little fuss from those of us who are lucky enough to call him a friend, we know there are many of you who want to send well wishes, prayers for healing and messages of support. You can leave those messages on this site and Mike will read them as soon as he is able. We will update you on his surgery and recovery.
If you want to offer additional support, we have arranged a personal chef service to deliver meals to his family when it's convenient for them and you can contribute to that effort by clicking on the "Ways to Help" button at the top of this page.
