Welcome to our Family and Friends, 

We've created this site to keep all of you updated with accurate and timely information. The outpouring of love and support has been tremendous and we so appreciate your words of hope, strength and encouragement during this time as we begin this journey.

After 6+ months of pain and discomfort, which included multiple visits with my Primary Care physician and many various tests, we received a diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer in early June of 2016. The journey to this diagnosis was long and winding. One of the first significant steps occurred with the observation of a very "unnatural looking tan" that my wife commented on upon my return from a recent trip. This "tan" was actually the build up of bilirubin in my skin, due to a blockage in my gall bladder. This finding started us down a path of discovery which led us to further tests and the cancer was ultimately detected by a CT scan in early June. Still, additional tests were needed to confirm the nature and origin of the cancer. Subsequent visits with our Oncologist team confirmed their findings and allowed us to consult on the best available treatment options and craft a plan forward.

As we begin this journey there are many positive factors to hold tightly to. I am young and strong and therefore an excellent candidate for the best available treatment options. My support network of family and friends is wide and deep with many prayer warriors lifting me up on a daily, if not hourly or minute by minute basis. My desire to overcome this challenge is incredibly strong, for there is too much still to do and see in my life.

And so we welcome you to take this journey with us and come along side of us and lift us when necessary and maybe even carry us when needed. Your love and friendship and offers of support are needed and we will involve you and include you as much as you want or are able to assist us along the way. So keep those cell phones close by, because I will have you on my speed dial and will let you know how and when you can best help us. In the meantime, continued prayers for healing as well as strength and courage to persevere on this journey are requested. We love you all.
