On April 22nd Mike fell down a flight of stairs backwards. He hit his head pretty hard.  When he was brought to Grand Forks he was put in to a medically induced coma and had a breathing tube put in. While he was like that a CT scan was done and we found out that he had a severe brain injury on his tempural lobe. He also has multiple skull fractures and multiple brain bleeds among other things. After 3 days he was brought out of the coma and on the 4th day the breathing tube was taken out. After the 8th day when they finally got Mike stable he was moved out of the trauma icu unit. He now has physical therapy, ot therapy and speech therapy everyday. Mike has to learn how to walk,  feed himself,  dress himself and pretty much everything we all do every day.  He has short term memory loss and repeats himself quite often when he talks to you.  It's going to be a long road for Mike to get through this.  He has a lot of hard work ahead of him.
