Mike Spehar

Mike's Story.... he is an amazing husband, father, papa, disciple and so much more.  He loves, golfing, playing basketball with his crew, hockey, playing with his grandkids and spending time with his family.  He loves life and everything it has to offer.  His story is much more than his cancer.  


This is his shitty cancer story.....Mike Spehar, was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma with metastatic lung disease in August, 2017. October, 2017, he had his right kidney, tumor, and cancerous blood clot removed down at the Mayo Clinic. Doctors then prescribed Cabometyx, a pill specifically used to treat renal cancer.  After, three months  scans revealed growth of the cancer including his brain.  From there  Mike went on Immunotherapy and had a cyber knife treatment done on his brain.  In the last two weeks Mike has become increasingly tired and had some cognitive complications.  Dr's ordered an MRI and it indicated multiple cancer growth in his brain.
