Mike was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident Saturday, June 6th, 2020 in the evening while riding with his friends.  They enjoyed a beautiful day until Mike missed his turn and out of no where ended up thrown from his bike which resulted in critical injuries.  Thankfully, an angel stopped to help and his friends arrived at his side. Mike was helicoptered to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN.  Mike is in the ICU with substantial brain injuries, facial fractures, broken clavicle along with shoulder surgery being needed, and broken ribs.  Mike is in for a very long recovery and therapies over the next several months, possibly longer.

We're encouraged to hear just so soon after this accident that doctors and nurses tell us with optimism in their voices that he is doing better than expected.

Mike will find a way to come back from this, and will need all the help he can get. To assist in any way you can help with emergency care, hospital stays, surgeries, and getting him transported to an facility closer to home in the Twin Cities area to be closer to feel the presence of friends and family. He will have a very long road of therapy needed to see what he can recover with walking, talking, and regaining some sense of self. Knowing Mike with his piss and vinegar stubbornness, he will come out on top. Those of you who know Mike, know what a selfless person he is. He is an amazing friend to everyone and is always there for his loved ones. Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers.
