My story began in late January 2016 when my physician sent me to the ER to have some symptoms I though might be related to my AFib checked out. They did a variety of tests and ruled out any AFib problems.
But the chest x-ray showed a suspicious shadow behind my heart. That then led to a CTScan which showed a mass. A liver biopsy was performed the next week and my physician called me on Feb. 9 to inform me I had cancer. Then a PET Scan was ordered and that showed I had thorax cancer that had spread to my brain (a small 4 mm lesion), to some of my bone structure, as well as my liver. I began radiation treatment on March 3 where they treated the small tumor in my brain.
My next treatment is on March 9 which will be radiation on three or four of the other locations. My first chemo treatment is on March 10. They will provide me a schedule tomorrow of when all my treatments will occur.
I will post information/updates as they become available.
