Hello Everyone,
This is Kelly, Melissa's sister. She has asked me to create this page to keep everyone updated on Mike. I will do the best I can to explain what has happened and hopefully give you continuous updates as we know more.
This started about a year ago with a cough, throughout the past year Mike has been dealing with multiple health issues and just not feeling himself.
Last weekend Melissa took Mike to the emergency room for the pain he was having in his legs and lower left side. To make a long story short, Mike went through a series of tests and the doctors found that he has enlarged Lymph nodes around his aorta and his groin. In which the doctors believe (not confirmed yet) that Mike has a type of Lymphatic Cancer. Mike has had several CT scans (the one of his chest and neck were clear) and a biopsy to determine exactly what the diagnosis is. Unfortunately at this time they do not have the results and most likely will not for about a week. Mike then began to have terrible pain in his head, but thankfully it is sinusitis and is being treated with antibiotics. Friday January 27, he will have surgery to take out the Lymph node(s) in his groin.
Mike and Melissa are very thankful for all the support and appreciate everyone's concern, at this time Melissa is asking that you use this caring bridge site as a way to get updates. She is trying to focus her energy on Mike and Emilee, (it has been difficult for her to try and answer the phone calls and texts).
We will update this site as soon as we get any information, please forward the link to this page those interested in getting updates.
