Mike Gaustad is as many know just about one of the most charismatic infectious people that has ever graced us with his presence as he would kindly put it. A wonderful father of 4 great children and a friend to all who know him. He’s spent the last 20 years on Lindstrom fire moving all the way up to asst chief and being a mentor to many. He is as funny and quick witted as they come. Truly a blessing calling this man friend and as his kids would say what a blessing he is to call (simply) Dad! His passion for fire fighting hunting and fishing and the OCCASIONAL beer around a bbq or a fire pit with friends and family and his love of the open road on his Bike are just a few things Mike loves. His kids are the most important thing in his life and what a fun loving Dad they have. Mike is in the battle of his life right now fighting Interstitial Lung Disease. A very rare disease that attacks his lungs and leaves permanent irreversible scarring and inflammation. He is currently on life support waiting for a lung transplant. Mike is strong there is no doubt but this is a battle that is going to take everything he has and all the prayers and good vibes we as family and friends can give. Please keep Mike in your heart and minds and his wonderful children and parents and loved ones need our support and kindness.
