Mike Frain went into the emergency room on December 11th, 2015 because he was experiencing some issues with finding words.  A scan taken that day turned up a brain mass and he was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital.  Mike had brain surgery on December 16th, 2015 to remove as much of the tumor as possible.  Surgery went well in regards to removing the tumor, but unfortunately Mike suffered a few small strokes during surgery.  These strokes along with other complications from surgery left the right side of his body with significant deficit and his speech and language also experienced a setback.  On December 23rd, 2015 Mike was accepted into the Intensive St. Mary's Rehabilitation Program.  Mike has made strides in this program with his right side deficit and speech and language.  It is still very much a work in progress.  Mike will be discharged on January 20th, 2016 and continue therapy out patient.  The biopsy of the brain tumor showed it to be a high grade glioblastoma primary brain tumor.  Mike will start radiation and chemotherapy towards the end of January 2016.
