Mike didn't feel well on Monday, June 18, 2018.  He went to Urgent Care on Wednesday and by Saturday had not improved (fevers, aches, pain, occasional shortness of breath, weakness). 

Mike went to the emergency department and his labs were very low and concerning.  This came as a total shock to Mike, especially since the labs were very similar to those Glen (his Dad) was battling with his chronic lymphocytic leukemia diagnosis (CLL). He was taken to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI and admitted to the 6th floor.

Numerous labs, tests, and a bone marrow biopsy gave the result of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).  Mike is also fighting an infection that set in due to his poor immune system.  

This site was created to keep all of Mike's friends and family updated on his status as well as be a central location for donating funds to support Mike.  He will not be able to return to work for quite some time as chemotherapy is needed and he will also potentially need a bone marrow transplant.

An FYI for those who might not know, Mike's Dad (as mentioned above) is also battling a form of leukemia.  These 2 cases are not related, only a coincidence.
