Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Dad has not been feeling well since Christmas 2016.  He was admitted to the Park Rapids hospital on January 1st 2017 and transferred to St. Cloud hospital on January 6th.  After much testing and speculation he has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) which is also known as pre-leukaemia.  In addition to this diagnosis he is being tested for a possible form of inflammatory arthritis which may be causing him to be in so much pain right now (January 15th 2017).

Judy has been close by Dad's side since he moved to St. Cloud which is a blessing.  Dad's main job right now is to rebuild his strength and regain his appetite (Kyle and Jill brought him Sammy's Pizza tonight - hopefully he is enjoying that right now! :)

He will be visited by a rheumatologist soon and we should have a better idea of the possibility of the inflammatory arthritis tomorrow.  I will be heading out there to speak with the doctor tomorrow and will report on that as soon as I can.  More to come....

Thank you for keeping Dad in your thoughts and prayers.
Kelly
