Welcome to Mike Croft's CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. On February 13th Mike was in the back yard trimming the tree and fell. We have had two recollections from him. One is that his heart went out of rhythm and he passed out. The other is that the chainsaw got stuck and jerked him off the ladder. Both could be true. What we do know is that he fell approx thirty feet and landed on his back, fracturing his back in three places, fracturing several ribs, and sustaining a spinal cord injury. He has a long road to recovery, and day by day with God's grace and a lot of prayer, he'll get there!
