Mike Cook Mike Cook's Progress

Mike had a massive heart attack putting his life in critical condition. He has so many family members and friends who love him, we (Diane & Tricia) want you all to know how he is doing. We are so thankful for all your prayers for his heart and his recovery. This is his story and daily updates will follow as journal entries.

On Saturday, February 18th, Mike started experiencing extreme tightness in his neck and was very tired. Sunday morning he was too tired to get up to shower, his neck was not hurting as badly and he did not want to do something that would make it worse again. He felt worse throughout the day and by the evening he thought he was developing bronchitis because he was breathing harder. He started dry heaving and his breathing was getting worse. By 3am Monday morning, he's breathing was so hard it looked like his lungs were going to come out of his chest and I told him we are going to the ER; he said he could not make it to the car so I called 911. When the paramedics arrived, Mike was able to talk with them, got out of bed and onto the gurney on his own.
