Our Dad was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 head and neck (throat) cancer in early October.  We are fortunate to have him placed in the care of a great surgery team at Emory University (Midtown) Hospital in Atlanta. He completed the first of his surgeries (neck dissection to remove affected lymph nodes) on November 1st and is undergoing the second surgery today, November 10th. The tumor board voted unanimously to recommend this major surgery to remove the primary tumor via TORS (transoral robotic surgery). The surgeon completed a specialty fellowship training with this specific surgery at the site where it was developed. We still don't know the treatment course after the surgery, regarding radiation and chemotherapy, but we trust that God is in control and that our Dad is in great hands.  Our family thanks you for your prayers.
