Myron Gerard Baas “MOST GREAT BARBER”
July 15, 1938 - March 24, 2020
Our caring and talented owner of MGB Designers Salon & Spa passed away at 3:30am this morning surrounded by family and their love. Myron “Mike” Baas, known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, and boss will be loved, remembered, and in our hearts forever.
A barber for 58 years, his clients included fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers of many families. He always kept his comb, and occasionally shears, tucked in his belt as he was constantly cutting hair and fitting wigs, most notably for cancer patients. Always putting clients as his top priority, he would ask customers in his fun and loving charismatic way, “Are you in good hands today? or “Are you being well taken care of?” Never ending snacks for his staff and gourmet coffee for early morning clients were his specialty, and, most of all, to trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. When interviewing an employee, she asked what MGB stood for and he answered “Most Great Barber.” He truly was the MOST GREAT BARBER.

A Private memorial service is pending. A Celebration of life will be planned for a later date. We pray that this time of change and unknowability may also be a time of blessing and growth in your ability to trust in God and in yourself.
9/15/2019: From Mike and Pat Baas: In late August we began traveling a new road. The road of cancer. God has been with us and continues to bless us through this time. "One day at a time" has a new meaning in our lives. God healed me from some complications I had in the hospital. I am taking chemotherapy pills now and don't feel any negative effects from that as of now. I am feeling stronger each day. With God's blessing, the goal is to be in remission. We have felt your prayers and they have strengthened us and kept us going. Thank you for all the cards and expressions of care.
