Welcome to my battle. Let me explain. A few short weeks ago I went to the hospital for what I thought was going to be water pills and I would be on my way. Things didn't work out like that. I thought it was water retention in my legs, instead it was multiple blood clots in multiple veins in my legs. Now came the job to find out why. After a 10 day hospital stay, & several tests the results were in. Stage 3 lung cancer, very aggressive and a very rare kind of cancer at that. For someone who never smoked a day in my life, it was a bit of a shock to say the least. I am very thankful for a young doctor that never quit looking for the cause. So far, since I left the hospital on 9-20-18, I have had 3 long doctor visits. I am beginning to have some more testing done later on this this week. I will begin radiation and chemotherapy very soon. To help my family keep you in loop, Donna will attempt to journal my story daily or as needed. I ask you to keep me and my family in your daily prayers. The "GREAT PHYSICIAN" is in charge. He will see us through this! Mike
