Micky Harrison

Many of you will remember that in September 2014 Micky became suddenly gravely ill.  We discovered that he had several serious diagnoses including Stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver from fatty liver.  This often eventually leads to liver cancer.   
Micky was admitted to UTSW hospital on May 5th and after extensive tests the doctors discovered a tumor in his liver.  Last week we moved him to the Plaza at Edgemere for rehab while awaiting further diagnosis.  Today the doctors confirmed he has liver cancer that it is likely spreading and he is not a candidate for treatment.  We hope to bring him home later this week with supportive care.
We are a family of faith and we thank God that we have been blessed with over two and a half years of his humor, laughter and love that we never thought we would have after his initial diagnosis in September 2014.  Our family has chosen Romans 12:12 as our prayer, promise and hope as we venture down the path He is leading us on, which reads, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
