Mom was admitted to Avera on 8/6/16 after they ruled out a heart attack.  After ruling out esophageal cancer with a scope (this was the original concern) on Monday they proceeded to do more testing which included a lymph node biopsy and a bone marrow biopsy. Yesterday afternoon (8-11) she was given the diagnosis of non-hodgkins lymphoma.  At this point we are waiting to hear staging and a plan for course of treatment.  Mom is in good spirits and her pain is much better.  She does remain on a little oxygen which we are trying to wean off so she can head home later today or tomorrow as she is anxious to get home.  My dad is doing ok just very concerned as expected. Please keep mom and all of us in your prayers as we begin this journey.
