Mickey and her entire family are so grateful for the overwhelming support and love being sent her way during this difficult time.

Just to give a brief history on Mickey. She is a Type 1 diabetic that was diagnosed at age 13. This type of Diabetes is also known as Juvenile diabetes and is unpreventable.  Mickey takes insulin everyday via an insulin pump. This medicine keeps her alive. She has to poke her fingers at minimum of four times a day to monitor her blood sugar levels.  Diabetes effects multiple organs and Mickey has had multiple complications related to her diabetes.  March of this year she discovered she is in the final stage of kidney failure and will need a kidney transplant.  She is currently working with Froedtert in Milwaukee.
